Using simple store-cupboard ingredients, this recipe is healthy and wholesome. It’s a great way to use up leftover fruit and milk from last week’s shop – so you’re doing your bit to reduce your household food waste, too.

2. Green Superfood Smoothie

For a serious health-kick, try this nutritious smoothie. It’s packed full of fruit and veg, giving it a bright green shade that screams superfoods. With a 3:1 fruit to spinach ratio, this smoothie is a great way to introduce veggies into your smoothies, as the sweet fruit tempers the bitterness of the spinach. To chill your smoothie, use frozen bananas, mango, or spinach – or add a couple of ice cubes to your glass.

3. Mango Lassi

This recipe calls for a variety of fresh and frozen fruits, but it’s well worth the effort. Blend up your green smoothie first, then pour it into a glass so it’s half full.
